During my career as a professional base jumper I had several sponsors who supported me. My main sponsor Berghaus helped me get to some of my dream destinations like Baffin Island and Angel Falls. When I got pregnant I planned on putting this life on the shelf, but I realized that having children doesn’t make you change your personality. The only thing it changes is your framework. You don’t stop dreaming, but you need to work harder in order to realize your dreams. Although I am no longer base jumping, I still love to be outdoors, to travel and to explore new places. And on top of my list is still waking up in the morning, unzipping my sleeping bag, and preparing coffee and oat meal on my stove. And I believe you don’t have to go far, nor do something extreme to get that good feeling! It might as well be a walk in the forest with your kids on a Sunday afternoon.
I am happy to announce that I am signing up with Berghaus again, the new concept is a housewife living for adventure. I am also receiving support from Brynje(wool thermals, never would’ve gone to Baffin Island or the Himalayas without) and Norvis (organic skin protection for the outdoors) from Norway. Next big adventure coming up is the 19 days Snowman trek in Bhutan October 2013.
